A session cookie called fm_session. It tells us which browser you are so your inboxes come back when you return. It lasts a year, scripts on the page cannot read it, and the site cannot work without it.
A small cookie called fm-theme remembers light or dark, so the page is drawn in the right colours from the first moment. The server reads it for that and for nothing else.
Your theme, the sound on arrival setting and whether you closed the quick start are kept in your browser's own storage. They never leave your device.
On the Free plan we show our own images, served from this site. No ad network runs here, and we set no advertising or profiling cookies. If you click an ad, the site you land on sets its own.
The checkout page opens Lemon Squeezy's payment window, which works under Lemon Squeezy's own cookie rules.
Clearing cookies ends an anonymous session, and inboxes tied to it become unreachable unless you signed in first. Sign in with an email if that matters to you.
